3 Ecolo gical hints T o sav e water and energ y and help protect the envir onment, we r ecommend that you f ollow these hints: • Normally soiled laundry may be washed without pre washing in order to sa ve detergent, water and time (the envir onment is protected too!).

Any electrical w ork requir ed to install this appliance should be carried out b y a qualified electrician or competent person.
7 5. Set the machine upright and remo ve the r emaining rear scr ew . Slide out the r elevant pin. 6. Plug all the holes with the plugs which you will find in the env elope containing the instruction manual. Important ! Y ou are advised to k eep all the packaging for r e- use in case the machine is to be transported again.
8 W ater inlet Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thr ead. Alwa ys use the hose supplied with the appliance to connect to the water supply . Do not use pre viously used hoses for water connection. Installation should comply with local water authority and building regulations’ r equirements.
9 2. Onto a sink outlet spigot. If the outlet spigot has not been used befor e , remov e any blanking plug that ma y be in place. Push the drain hose onto the spigot and secur e with a clip if requir ed, ensure a loop is formed in the drain hose (see diagram) to pre vent waste fr om the sink entering the washing machine.

12 5 Quick button This option can be used for lightly soiled items in or der to obtain a good washing pr ogramme in a shor t time . This option is not a vailable for “Econom y 60°”, “ W ool”, “Handwash”, “Duvet 40°”, “Silk 30°”, “Softeners”, “30 minute wash” and “Intensiv e 45 minute wash” pr ogrammes.
13 9 Stain button Select this button if you wish to ad d to the washing of hea vy soiled laundr y a stain phase: at the temperatur e of 40°C the special detergent for stains is loaded fr om the compartment marked . This function is a vailable in cotton, synthetic & delicate pr ogrammes with a temperature of 40° or higher .
14 Option selection Depending on the pr ogramme , differ ent functions can be combined. These must be selected after choosing the desired pr ogramme and before depr essing the “Start/ Pause” button.
15 Pr ogramme information Cottons 90°- 60°- 40° These pr ogrammes must to be used for lightl y or normally soiled cotton. The washing time will r educed only by f ew min utes.
16 Child lock The ‘Child Lock‘ featur e will allow y ou to lock the contr ols while the machine is running to pre vent tampering. T o activate ‘Child Lock’ the machine must be running. e.g., Programme must be selected and the pr ogramme star ted by pr essing the ‘Start’ button.
17 Using y our washing machine Befor e the first wash, we r ecommend that you pour 2 litres of water into the main wash compartment of the detergent dra wer . Then run a cotton 90°C cycle, without any laundry in the machine , to remo ve an y manufacturing r esidue fr om the drum and tub.
18 7. Select the Dela y star t The dela y star ting of a programme, press r epeatedly the “Dela y Star t” button to select the desired dela y . The figures cor responding to the selected dela y will be displa yed for about 5 seconds.

23 Maintenance and Cleaning Befor e any maintenance or cleaning is car ried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance fr om the electricity supply . Descaling The water we use normall y contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
24 • When no more water comes out, unscr ew the pump cov er and remo ve it. Al wa ys keep a rag nearb y to dr y up spillage of water when remo ving the cov er . • Remov e any objects fr om the pump impeller by r otating it. • Put the cap back on the emergency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat.
25 Something Not W orking? Symptom Solution • The machine does not star t up: • The door is not firmly closed. «Close the door» • The machine is not plugged in or there is no po wer at the sock et. • The main fuse or the fuse in the plug has blown.
26 Symptom Solution • Spinning star ts late or the the machine does not spin • The electr onic balance control de vice has cut in because the laundr y is not ev enly distributed in the drum. The laundr y is redistributed b y re verse r otation of the drum.
