6 Installation T echnical Specifications It is danger ous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this pr oduct in any wa y . Care m ust be tak en to ensure that the a ppliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable.
7 Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be r emov ed befor e using the appliance. K eep all packaging awa y from childr en. Y ou are advised to k eep all the packaging so that they can be refitted if the machine e ver has tobetransported again.
8 W ater inlet Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thr ead. Alwa ys use the hose supplied with the appliance to connect to the water supply . Do not use pre viously used hoses for water connection.
9 The drain hose ma y be extended to a maximum of 4 metres. An ad ditional drain hose and joining piece is a vailable from your local Service For ce Centre. The joining piece must ha ve an internal diameter of 18 mm. If your drain hose looks lik e this (see below) you do not requir e the “U” piece”.
10 Special conditions If the floor is carpeted or cov ered with crumbl y or soft material, insert a rigid suppor t base under the feet to pre vent noise, vibration or displacement. The base should pr otrude a few centimetr es beyond the edges of the machine.
11 Any electrical w ork required to install this a ppliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED . The manufactur er declines any liability should this safety measur e not be obser ved.
12 Building-in This appliance has been designed to be built into the kitchen furniture. The recess should ha ve the dimensions shown in pictur e A. When installing the appliance into the kitchen furnitur e ensure, if possible, the hoses are placed in either of the two r ecesses on the back of the appliance .
13 Recommendations r egar ding the construction and fitting of a base when the installation r equir es an integrated appliance to be raised Where the a ppliance has been raised by mounting onto a wooden base pr ovided by the installer .
14 P osition the base into the recess with its fr ont edge as far forwar d as the adjoining plinth line will allow . The reason f or placing the base in this position is to allo w a small strip of beading to be fitted in fr ont of the appliance feet. Fix the base firmly to the floor using four a ppr opriate countersunk scre ws (see Fig.
15 1 Detergent dispenser dra w er 2 Mains-on light This light comes on when the “ On/Off ” button is pressed, and g oes out when it is pressed again. 3 “On/Off ” button Press this button to s witch the machine on. Press it again to switch the machine off.
16 • “ Quick” : select this option for laundry that is only slightly soiled in or der to obtain a good wash r esult in a short time . This option is not a vailable with the W ool pr ogrammes, the Energy saving pr ogrammes “ Econom y ” and “ 30 Minute wash ” .
17 9 “Star t/P ause” button This button has two functions: • Start : after you ha ve selected the desired pr ogramme and options, press this button to start the washing machine. The light above the button will stop flashing and remain lit. If you ha ve selected a dela y time , the countdown will begin and will be shown on the displa y .
18 The dela y time is display ed for 3 seconds, then the duration of the selected pr ogramme rea ppears. After you ha ve pr essed the Star t/Pause button, the countdown is updated e very hour , and, for the last two hours, e ver y 30 minutes.
19 Easy ir on 40° With this pr ogramme at 40°C it is possible to wash synthetic garments which must be ir oned. The laundr y is gently washed and spun to pr ev ent the fabrics from creasing. Max. load 1 kg. Final spin speed 900 r .p .m. Soak 30° This is a special pr ogramme for hea vily soiled laundr y .
20 Using the washing machine Befor e the first wash, we r ecommend that you run a cotton c ycle at 95°C , without any laundr y in the mac hine , to remo ve any manufacturing residue fr om the drum and tub. Pour 1/2 a measur e of detergent into the dispenser dr awer and star t the mac hine .
21 6. Select the spin speed or the “Rinse hold” option Press the “ Spin ” button r epeatedly in order to select the desired spin speed or the “ Rinse hold ” option. If you select the “ Rinse hold ” option, the machine will stop at the end of the pr ogramme with the water still in the tub.
22 22 11. Ho w to interrupt a pr ogramme Depress the “ Start/P ause ” button to interrupt a pr ogramme which is running, the corr esponding light starts to flash.

27 Maintenance and Cleaning Y ou must DISCONNECT the appliance fr om the electricity supply , before you can carr y out an y cleaning or maintenance work . Descaling The water we use normall y contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
28 Unscre w and remov e the filter . Clean carefull y under a fast running tap . W arning When the appliance is in use and depending on the pr ogramme selected there can be hot water in the pump . Nev er remov e the pump cov er during a wash cycle, alwa ys wait until the appliance has finished the cycle, and is empty .
