7 Unpacking Rem o v e all crating and pl astic f ro m around the Mort i ser. Check f or shipping dam age; report any dam age immedi a t ely to your d i stri butor and shippi ng agent. Do not discard any shi pping m a t erial until the Mor t i s er is assembl ed and runni ng properl y .
8 A s sembl y Tool s re qu i re d for assemb l y f orklift or hoi st wit h s tr aps/sl i ngs 14mm wrench (pr ov i ded) 4 and 6mm hex wrenches (prov ided) 1. Rem o v e the four s c rews that secure t he Mort iser to the wood pall e t, using a 14mm wrench.
9 In stalling Bushing, Chisel an d A uger 1. The m orti s er should be disconn ected f rom power source. 2. Open t he c huck access cov er (A, Figur e 3). 3. I nsert a bu s hi ng (B, Figure 3) i nto t he hole with t he bushing’ s hol e faci ng the f ront toward the set scre w (C, Fi gure 3).

In the ev ent of a m alfunc tion or br eakdown, grou nding pr ov i des a path of least resi s tance f or elec tric current to reduce t he risk of el ectri c shock . Impr oper connect ion of the equi p m ent- groundi ng conductor can resul t in a r isk of elec tric shock.

17 Sh arpen ing Chisel and A uger The chi sel and auger shoul d be kept sharp f or best perf ormanc e. If cutti ng operati ons requi re ex cess iv e forc e, the chi s el and/or auger are probabl y dull and shoul d be s harpen ed. Bl unt edges wi ll giv e inac c ur at e m orti ses and can l ead to ov erheati ng and breakage of chisel or auger.
