10 Downloading Music, M ovie & image to Y our SM PV -2GBUB Player Connecting to your Personal Com puter: 1. Connect the unit to your computer USB port using the pro vided USB cable.

Click on the “Safely Remove Hardware” i con (green arrow) in the lo wer right corner of system tray of your Windows desktop to bring up the list of USB Mass S torage Device attached to your computer . 2. From the device list, choose the Drive designator that corr esponds to the Player , for example Drive (H :).
12 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS Buttons used for “MENU” and “PL A Y / P AUSE” functions can be controlled in 3 different w ays: 1. T ap - press the butto n briefly then release it immedi ately . 2. Press - press and hold the b utton for about 2 seconds t hen release it.
13 2. Listening T o Music 1. After turning on the Player, the Player will enter Music Mode. 2. T ap the MODE Button once to initi alize the music play functio n and then tap the PLA Y Button to start playback. T he playback screen is displa yed. 3. T ap VOL+/ VOL- key to increa se/decrease the volume.

15 2.1.3 Setting T empo rate: There are 16 levels from -8 to +8. -8 is the lowest, +8 is the fastest and 0 means normal speed. Under music setting mode, select t he tempo sub-menu by tapping the MODE Button. T apping / t o select the rate of playing. Exit Exit from the play mode setting.
16 Button to confirm. The sel ected file will be del eted. If “No” is selected, you will exit the file delete mode. 2.2.3 Delete all: After choosing the Delete all submenu, tap / to select “Y es” and tap the MODE Button to confirm to delete all files.
17 3. Video Playback Note: i. The video file form at that can be played in the Player is AMV , and the formats that can be converted directl y into AMV are MPG , ASF , A VI, WMV etc. by using the AMV converter provided on the included CD. ii. Install the AMV conversion program o nto your computer.
18 3.1.2 T ap the PLA Y Button to play the movie. 3.1.3) Press and hold the MODE Button to return to the main menu. 3.2 Pause mode When in movie playback mod e, tap the PLA Y Button to pause. 3.2.1 In the pause mode, tap the PLA Y Button again to continue pla ying.
19 3.3 Deleting movie files Delete 1: 3.3.1 In the movie pause mode, tap the MODE Button to enter the Movie submenu. 3.3.2 T ap the / to select Dele te and tap MODE Button to confir m. All the movies will be shown in the Displa y . 3.3.3 T ap the / to select the movie to delete and tap MODE Button to confirm.
20 In video pause mode 3.5.1 T ap the MODE Button to enter Movie subme nu. 3.5.2 Select Repeat and then tap the MODE Button to enter . 3.5.3 T ap / to select the mode you prefer and tap the MODE Button to confirm. Exit Choose exit to return to the Video control screen.
21 Before recording, tap the MODE Butt on to enter the Record submenu t o preset the record quality . Local folder: Users can choose t he Root or Record fold er here. REC type: T o choose the re cord type in this menu. The record options are Fine R EC, Long REC, Fine VOR, Long VOR.
22 Low battery When recording, if the battery power is lo w , the System will save the current recorded file, stop recordin g and show LOW BA TTERY . Please charge th e battery if this condition occurs .

LINE IN Recording 5.1 Connect your iPod or other audio source and the Line In jack on SMPV- 2GBUB with a patch cable (not included) 5.2 From the main menu, select Record an d tap the MODE Button to enter the record control mode. 5.3 Before recording, tap the MODE Button to ent er the Record submen u to choose the record qualit y .
24 Exit: Return to the record standby interface . 6. Playing Recordings The Line In and MIC recordin gs can be played in the V oice mode. From the main menu, select Voice. 6.1 Settings Repeat Mode Setting 6.1.1 There are 7 play modes available: Norm al, Repeat One, Folder, Repeat Folder , Repeat All, Random and Intro.

28 6.4 Error display 6.4.1 No record file This error message will be displayed when the file is no longer available on the Player . 6.4.2 Illegal file When the record file is damaged or the file is not a record file, the Pla yer can’t play the file 7.

31 8. System Setting Choose Setup from the main menu and tap the MODE button to enter th e Setup submenu. There are 7 options: Record ti me, LCD set, Language, Power off, Online Mode, Memory info., Firmware version. T ap / to select the s etting option and then tap the MODE Button to confirm.
32 8.1 Setting R ecord time 8.1.1 After entering the Setup menu, tap the MODE Button to enter Setu p submenu and select Record ti me and tap MODE Button to ent er . 8.1.2 T ap the “VOL+/VOL-” key to select the item you want to change. 8.1.3 T ap / key to modify the item you selected.
33 8.2 LCD setup Black mode: this sets a fixed period of ti me ranging from 6 ~ 30 seconds, so if no buttons are press ed for the chosen time, the sc reen of the Player will turn black automatically . If “0” is selected, the LCD will stay on and not go off.
34 Sleep time: means that if no butto ns are pressed durin g the chosen time, the system will go into sleep mode au tomatically . Choose from 10-120 min utes. If “0” is selected, the unit will remain on. Note: Sleep mode is only valid one time after it has been set.
35 8.6 Memory info Choose this to check the use able memory informati on in the following format: Usable memory in MB <percentage of me mory used> 8.7 Firmware version Choose this to show the current software version of the unit. 8.8 Exit Exit back to the main menu.

38 9.2Deleting Bookmarks 9.2.1 In bookmark setting mode select “B ookmark Delete”, the book mark list Will appear on the screen. 9.2.2 T ap / to highlight th e bookmark which yo u want to delete. 9.2.3 T ap the MODE button to e xecute. The LCD will return to the passage.
39 9.5 Delete All 9.5.1 From the E-book list, tap the MODE Butto n to enter text play list. 9.5.2 T ap / to choose “Delete All” and th e MODE Button to en ter this option. 9.5.3 T ap / to choose Y es or No, if yes is s elected all the E-boo k files will be deleted.
