MP6312i 1 INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your purchase o f the Jensen MP6312i Mobile Receive r . It’s a good idea to read all of the instructions before beginning the installation. W e recommend ha ving your Jensen MP6312i installe d by a reputable installation shop.
MP6312i 2 INSTALLATION This unit is designed for in stallatio n in cars, trucks and vans with an existing radio opening. In many cases, a spec ial installation kit will be required to mount the radio to the dashboard. Thes e kit s are available at electronics supply stores and car ster eo spec ialty shops.
MP6312i 3 4. Place the radio in front of the dashboard openin g so the wiring can be brought through the mounting sleeve. Follow the wiring diagram carefully and make certain all con nections are secur e and insulated with wire nuts or electrica l tape.

MP6312i 6 FR ONT PANEL RELEASE The front panel relea se button (4) releases the mechanism that holds the front panel to the chassis. Detaching the Front Panel T o detach the front p anel, first press the front p anel release button to release the left side of the panel.
MP6312i 7 OPERATION Power Press the power butt on (2) to turn the unit on. Press and hold the power button again to turn the unit off. NOTE: LCD panels may take longer to respond when subjected to cold temperatures for an extended pe riod of time. In addition, the visibility of the numbers on the LCD may decr ease slightly .
MP6312i 8 Equalizer Selector The equalizer function applies pr eset sound effe cts to the unit’ s audio output signal. Press EQ (16) to step through the following equalizer op tions: “ROCK”, “HIP-HOP”, “DANC E”, and “EQ OFF”.
MP6312i 9 T UNER OPERATION The MP6312i allows you to receive c hannels in U.S.A. or EUROPE mode. See “Frequency S pacing” on p age 8 to learn how to change the tuner options. Select a Band Press the BAND button (3) to change between three FM an d two AM bands.

This unit can play MP3/WMA directly from files contain ed on a CD-R/RW using th e buttons on the receiver (or o ptional remote control) as desc ribed below.

MP6312i 18 REMOTE CONTROL The remote control will allow you to control the basic functions of the MP6312i. Operating Range The remote control sensor (19) is located to the right of the SRC button . The remote control can operate withi n a distance of 3~5m.
MP6312i 19 CARE AND MAINTENANCE CD Player The following guidelines will help you ex tend the life of your CD player: 1. When cleaning the vehicle interior , do not get water or cleaning fluids on the unit. 2. The CD player will not operate prop erly in extreme hot/c old or under damp conditions .
