CH1002 3 Prepar ation (continued) Transpo rt Lock Screws The mechanism in the CD changer is " locked" in to place during shipment by transport screws. Be sure to remove the screws prior to installation. Retain these screws for future use when transporting the unit for service/maintenance .

CH1002 5 Installation IMPORT ANT : Incorrect inst allation can cause the CD chang er to “skip.” Mount the unit firmly in place using supplied brackets and screws. The unit can be installed horizontally , vertically , at a 45° angle, or suspended.
CH1002 6 Metal Surface a. S tick t he supplied double-sided tape to t he bottom of the mounting bases (B) and peel off the paper backing. b. Drill holes for the self- tapping screws (T5x12). c. Install self-t apping screws to secure the mounting base to the metal.
CH1002 7 Installation (continued) V ertical Installation 1. Make sure the anti-vibration springs are set to position "90". 2. Attach a bracket (A) bracket to each side of the unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounti ng base (B) using the hexagonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.

CH1002 13 Loading the CD Changer Inserting Compact Dis cs in the Magazine 1. Grip the tab on the magazine tray into wh ich you will be loading a disc and pull it out gently . Pull out only one tray at a time. 2. Insert a disc into the tray with the label side up (play surface facing down).
