PowerPlus Amplifiers 2 Intr oduction The Jensen PowerPlus seri es of amplif iers were designed to meet or exce ed the CEA-2006 test st andards. These ne w st andards give all particip ating manufacturers (and man y don't particip ate) a baseline when comparing amplifiers of similar power output.

PowerPlus Amplifiers 4 Installa tion Before you begin the inst allation of your PowerPlus series amp remem ber , there are two ways to do things – right an d twice! Use th e proper installation techniques, tools and accessorie s to en sure that your Jensen PowerPlus series amp will put out all the power it was designed to.
PowerP lus Amplifiers 5 P ow er W iring Charging System In some cases, the installa tion of just one (1) amplifier could be enough to overload your factory electrical system (i.e., alter nator). Depending on the state of your electrical sy stem and overall condition o f your vehicle, you may need to upgr ade your altern ator and battery .
PowerPlus Amplifiers 6 Ground T erminal (GND) Make the ground lead as sh ort as possible, leavin g enough length to comp lete the installatio n and to allow for any ser vice that may b e needed at a later date. T o ensure a good ground, scrape awa y any paint or undercoating to expose bare metal.

PowerP lus Amplifiers 9 Input W iring Most trunk/hatc hback installations will require a 15-20 foot RCA cable, while pickup trucks and under-s eat mounting will require a 6-12 foot R CA cable. Connect an RCA cable from your rece iver to the RCA input on your amplifier .
PowerPlus Amplifiers 10 NOTE: The use of good qualit y RCA cables is just as important a s power and speaker wire. Choose a high qua lity low capacitance cable for the best resu lts. Connecting Additional Amplifiers Pass-Thru RCA connectors are pr ovided to connect additional amplifiers without the need to purchase "Y" a dapters.
