5 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Contr ols Electric igniters aut omatically light the surfac e burners when control knobs ar e turned to HI and will au tomatically reignite if the flame is extinguished . If a cross draft is pr esent, the flame may be affected and some sparking may occur .

7 Home Canning When canning for long pe riods, alternate the use of surface burners betw een batches. This allows time for t he most recently used areas to cool. ■ Center the canner on the grate above th e burner . ■ Do not place canner on 2 surface bur ners at the same time.
