The built-in ventilation system removes cooking vapors, odors and smoke from foods prepared on the cooktop, grill and grill accessories. Regular use of this system will insure a more comfortable and less humid kitchen which is free of heavy cooking odors and fumes that normally create a frequent need for clean- ing and rede c or a ting.

Y our new cooktop burnershave been preset for an "average" set of cond i tions . Regional variances in gas pressure and atmosphericconditions such as height above sea level may affect your initial flame performance. When the control knob is turned ON, gas enters the mixertube and mixes with air.

I Using the Grill J • Before the first use , wash your new gr i ll gra t es in hot soapy water , rinse and dry. Then "season" the su r face by wiping on a thin coating of cooking oil. Remove excess oil by wiping again with another paper towel.

The knobs on the control panel can be removed with the contro]s in the OFF posit i on. Pull each knob straight from the shaft . Wash knobs in warm soapy water or dishwasher; do n o t us e a brasi ve c J ea ns e r s or m a t e ri a ls.

J e n n -Air's ventil a ti o n system is designed to ca pture both cooking fumes and smoke while grilling . If the system does not, these are some ducting installation situations to c h e ck: • 6" diameter round or 3 1 / 4 ' x 1 0" rectangular duct i ng should be used for duct lengths 10'-60'.
