10 System Requirements For Wind ows: The Solo PRO drive is fo rmatted with an NTF S file system, a default for the Windows OS. For Mac: The SoloPRO is sup ported on Mac’s us ing the G3 (or later) or Int el processor . When connecting to a Mac, the Solo PRO drive will need to b e reformatted once connected.
11 About USB 3.0 USB 3.0 has a max imum interface transfer rate, or band width, of 5 Gbps ( Gi gabits per second). The perfor mance depends on many facto rs including: CPU, file system ov erhead, number of attached USB devices and more.

13 For Added Security For added security , the SoloPRO can be secur ed with a cable and padlock or bolted to a floor. S ee the pictures b elow for suggested methods on physically securing the Solo PRO .
14 Connecting the SoloPRO to Your Computer Using the USB connection 1. Connect the included p ower supply to the back of the So lo PRO . CAUTION ! To avoid damage to the power supp ly connector, make sur e it is aligned correctly before pluggi ng it into the drive .
15 4. Verify that the Drive Mounts . Before storing data on the Solo PRO, the drive must be “mount ed” to the co mputers operati ng system. This means that th e computers op erating system has recogn ized at least one readab le partitio n on the drive and establ ished a communication link with it.
16 Formatting the SoloPRO f or Mac OS The SoloPRO is for matted NTFS a nd may not be reco gnized by Mac OS 10.2 and earlier. You may get an alert message which read s: “You have ins erted a disk containing no volu mes that Mac OS can read.” Click th e ignore but ton and follow the steps below.
