Bef ore you begin, mak e sure that the pow er to all the de vices you will be connecting up ha ve been tur ned off . NO TE: T o prev ent damage to your installation due to g round potential difference, mak e sure that all de vices on the installation are proper ly g rounded.

34 Operation 10 Hotke y Operation The hotk ey operations of the KVM assume the use of a PC-Compatib le k eyboard with the Scroll Loc k key . I f y ou are using a MA C K eyboard (or a ke yboard that do.
Operation 11 P or t Switching T o toggle betw een the two computers , quickly tap the Scroll Lock k ey twice: [Scroll Loc k], [Scroll Lock] NO TE: Y ou can change this hotke y to [ctr l ] [ctrl], see page 17 f or details.
Operation 12 The KVM will now enter Hotke y mode, and the Caps Loc k and Scroll Loc k LEDs flash in succession to indicate this. On PC-Compatib le k eyboards this LED is usually located on top right-hand cor ner .
Operation T o In v oke Hotke y Mode (MA C Keyboar d): 1. Press and hold Clear ke y fo r t wo seconds 2. Press and hold Minus k ey [ – ] k ey f or one second 3. Release Minus k ey [ – ] and within one second also release Clear ke y The KVM will no w enter Hotkey mode; indicated b y b linking of the Caps Loc ks LED .
