9 Device Setup Plug the mouse cable into an av ailable USB port on your computer . Drivers will automatically load f or both the mouse and a device called C-Media USB Headphone Set. 1. When the drivers hav e completely loaded, open the Control P anel from your start menu and fi nd the icon called Sounds and Audio De vices.
10 Device Setup Open the Sounds and Audio Devices control panel and s witch to the Audio tab . The new C- Media USB Headphone Set will be the default de vice for both sound playbac k and recording.
11 Click the drop-do wn menu in the Sound playbac k section to display your pla yback de vices. Choose your computer’ s normal sound device from the list – it will probably be the only other option. When done, clic k the OK button to sav e the changes.
12 Due to the wa y Windows handles USB devices , these settings will only stay in eff ect while the mouse is plugged into the same USB por t. If plugged into a different USB port you ma y need to repeat the abov e procedure.
13 Skype Setup Launch Skype and select Options from the T ools menu. 1..
14 Click the Sound De vices category from the list on the left. 2. Select C-Media USB Headphone Set from the Audio In men u. 3. Skype Setup.
15 Select the playbac k device y ou will be using for y our calls from the Audio Out men u. If you ha ve both headphones and speakers , choose the headphones here.
16 Select the playbac k device you would lik e to hear ring when getting a call from the Ringing menu. If you hav e both headphones and speakers , choose the speakers here .
