SECTION 1—GENERAL GUIDELINES Part No 1148137 9 MA 60 Se rie s Fire Hazard DANGER Smoking DO NOT SMOKE while using this device. This system uses r oom air for circulation through the mattress. A cigarett e can burn a hole i n the bed surface and cause damage to the m attress.
SECTION 2—OPERATION MA60 Series 10 Part No 1148137 SECTION 2—OPERATION CAUTION The control unit and mattress on the MA60 series are designed to be used as a sys- tem. DO NOT replace matt resses or control units with other models or other brands. Otherwise, damage to the system m ay occur.

Select comfort pressure sett in gs by pressing Firm ( ) or Soft ( ) b utton. • Soft Button - Pressing this button reduces the pressure setting in the mattress. • Firm Button - Pressing this bu tton increase the pressure setting in the mattress.
SECTION 2—OPERATION Part No 1148137 17 MA60 Se rie s Max Inflate/Lo w Air Loss B utton MA60 System 1. Press the Max Inflate button ( ) to select the max inflate mode. • Max Inflate Mode - In t his mode, the mattress i nflates rapidly to maximum firmness (pressuri zed to 35 ± 6 mmHg).

Ensure that the patient is lying flat on his/h er back in the middle of the mattress. B. Place four fingers betw een the air cush ions directly underneath the sacral region of the patient’ s body .
