PCM-9387 User’s Manual 14 2.4 Setting Jumpers Y ou may configu re your card to match the needs of your appl ication by setting jumper s. A jumper is a metal br idge used to close an electric cir- cuit. It consists of two metal pi ns and a small metal clip (often protected by a plastic cover) that slides over the pins to connect them.
15 Chapter 2 2.5 Inst alling SO-DIMM The procedures for installing SODI MMs are described below . Please fol- low these steps carefully . Y ou can install SDRAM memory mo dules using 200-pin SODIMMs (S mall Outline Dual In -line Memory Modules). 1. Ensure that all power supplies to the system are switch ed off.

Users can connect to either an 36-bit or 48 -bit L VDS LCD on it. 2.15 Ethernet configuration The board is equipped with a high perform ance 32-bit PCI-bus Ethernet interface which is fully compliant with IEEE 802.

This type of inform ation is stored in battery-backed memory (CMOS RAM) so that it retains th e setup information when th e power is turned o ff.
29 Chapter 4 4.2 Entering Setup T urn on the computer and check for the “patch cod e”. If there is a number assigned to the patch code, it means that the BIO S supports your CPU. If there is no number assigned to the patch code, please contact Advan- tech’ s applications engineer to obt ain an up-to-date patch code file.

This menu allows users to configure system components such as dat e, time, hard disk driv e, floppy drive, display , and memory .
31 Chapter 4 . 4.4.1 V irus W arning If enabled, a warning message and alarm beep activates if someone attempts to write here. The commands are “Enabled” or “Disabled.” 4.4.2 L1 & L2 Cache Enabling this feature speeds up memory access. The commands are “Enabled” or “Disabled.

The choices: Enabled, Disabled. 4.6.12 Primary IDE 0 (1) and Seconda ry IDE 0 (1) When Enabled, the system will resume from suspend mode if Primary IDE 0 (1) or Secondary IDE 0 (1 ) is active.
