1 Abo ut the Mc PC-Gig abit The McPC-Giga bit is a low -cost, IEEE 802.3 single-conve rsion, PC Card me dia converter that converts 1000Base-TX twis ted pair to 1000Bas e-SX mult i-mode o r 1000Base -LX single-mode fiber . The McPC-Gigabit is a vailable with one RJ-45 connector for the twisted pair port and a SC connector for the fiber port.
2 LED Indicators Each McP C-Gigabit in cludes two LEDs , located on the RJ-45 con nector. LED functions are as follows: FX LNK /ACT Glows green w hen a link is esta blished on the fi ber port; blinks gree n when ac tivit y is det ected o n the fib er port.
