7 ASSEMBL Y To hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call toll-free 1-800-445-2480. Assembly r equires two persons. Place the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispo se of the packing materials until the treadmill is assembled.

Hold the Latch Housing (68) and the Latch Housing Cover (5) against the sides of the Frame as shown. Loosely thread the two blunt-tipped 1/2” Screws (132) into the Latch Housing Cover and the Latch Housing as shown.
9 HOW TO CONNECT AN ANTENNA Indoor Antenna 1. Place a VHF antenna in the desired loca- tion. Connect the 300 ohm fl at wire from the antenna to a 300 ohm to 75 ohm adapter. 2. Push the 300 ohm to 75 ohm adapter onto the 75 ohm an- tenna terminal on the treadmill frame near the power cord.
10 THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
1 1 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to help you get the most from your workouts. When the manual mode of the console is selected, the speed and incline of the treadmill can be changed with the touch of a button.
12 H OW TO TURN ON THE POWER Plug in the power cord (see page 10). Next, locate the reset /off circuit breaker near the power cord. Make sure that the circuit breaker is in the reset position.
13 The right display —This display will show the dis- tance that you have walked or run, the number of 1 /4-mile laps you have completed, the speed of the walking belt, and the approximate numbers of c alories a nd f at calories y ou have burned (see FAT BURNING on page 25).
14 H OW TO USE A PRESET PROGRAM Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on p age 12. Select a preset program. To select a preset program, press the Speed & Incline button repeatedly. The right display will show which preset program (P-1 through P-10) is selected.
15 To stop the program at any time, press the Stop button. The time will begin to fla sh i n th e lef t di s- p lay. To restart the program, press the Start bu tto n or the Speed increase bu tton.
16 H OW TO CREATE A CUSTOM PROGRAM I nsert the key into the console. S ee HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 12. Select a custom program. To select a custom program, press the Custom button repeatedly until “P-15” or “P-16” appears in the right display.

18 H OW TO USE A HEART RATE PROGRAM Follow the steps below to use a heart rate program. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 12. Select a heart rate program. To select a heart rate program, press the Heart Rate button repeatedly until “P-11,” “P-12,” “P-13,” or “P-14” appears in the right display.
19 Hold the handgrip pulse sensor. I t is not necessary to hold the handgrip pulse sen- sor continuously during a pulse program; how- e ver, you must hold the handgrip pulse sensor fre- quently. Each time you hold the handgrip pulse sensor, keep your hands on the metal con- tacts for at least 15 seconds.
H OW TO OPERATE THE PERSONAL TELEVISION IMPORTANT: Before operating the television, you must connect an antenna, a 75 ohm CATV cable, or a VCR to the 75 ohm antenna terminal on the tread- m ill. See page 9 for instructions. Follow the steps below to operate the television.
21 Press the Power button again and add or delete channels. After all valid channels available in your area have been saved into the television’s memory (see step 5 on page 21), you can manually add channels or delete unwanted channels.

If this is not done, the treadmill may be permanently damaged. Next, unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 pounds (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill.
