3 Quick S t art Guide Installation Instructions Congratul ations on your purchase of t he SANbox ® 9000 Series Fibre Channel Switch. This guide describes the steps to install and activate your new switch using a Windows® work station.
4 Step 4. Apply Power t o the Switch The maximum current requirem ents are 10 amps at 100 VAC or 4.2 amps at 240 VAC. ❑ Attach the AC power c ords to the Power Supply blades and wall outlets or power strips. Secure the strain relief bales to the plugs .
5 Step 6. Connect the W orkstation to the Switch ❑ Connect the CPU0 blade Ethernet port dir ectly to the workstation using an Ethe rnet cable, or indirectly through a switch or hub. The Ethernet port automa tically discovers straight and cross-over cables.
6 Step 9. Run the Configur ation Wizard ❑ Double-click the Enterprise Fabri c Suite 2007 shortcut , or select Enterprise F abric Suite 2007 from St art menu, depending on how you installed it. ❑ The Configuration Wizard tool auto-det ects and configures the switch base d on sel ected optio ns and recommended settings.
