4 Garage F an Components 42727-01 NOTE: Y our Garage F an is intended for mounting at the intersec - tion of a joist and two br aces. See Figure 1. If the location you’ve selected does not have such a congur ation, then securely install two pieces of framing material between the joists to form the intesection.
5 Site Selection and Prepar ation 42727-01 Ceiling Mount 1. Use the four provided Mounting Screws to secure the Mounting Flange/Downrod Assembly to two intersecting joists. R efer to Site Selection & Prepar ation, pg. 4. See Figure 1. NO TE: For clarity , ceiling drywall or sheetrock has been omitted.
6 Installation & Operation 42727-01 3. Push the entire Adjustable Leg/Stationary Leg Assembly back so the Stationary Split Sleeve clears the top of the fan. Figure 2 2. Mov e the Leg Adjust Lever toward the front of the fan, then tilt back the Adjustable Leg.

9 Installation & Operation 42727-01 Figure 6 Horizontal Surface Use 1. Tilt the fan so the top of the fan clears the Downrod Cup . 2. Lift the fan so the Split Sleeve clears the Downrod Cup. Move the Leg Adjust Lev er toward the front of the fan, then tilt back the Adjustable Leg.
Maintenance 10 42727-01 CLEANING THE GRILLES AND BLADES: 1. T urn the fan off and remove the plug from the electrical outlet. 2. R emove the Front Grille (with the Hunter logo plate) by removing the eight screws that hold it to the F an. 3. The Grill es and t he Blade Ass embly ma y be cle aned with a damp lint-free cloth.
1 1 T roubleshooting 42727-01 PROBLEM • Garage F an will not work. SOLUTION • Make sure the Garage F an is properly plugged in and the electrical outlet has power . • The Power Cord may be damaged. Inspect the P ower Cord. If the P ower Cord is damaged, contact a qualied repair person.
