4 1 • G e t t i n g R e a d y T o install a ceiling fan, b e sure you can do the following: • Locate the ceiling joist or othe r suitable supp ort in ceiling . • Drill holes for and install wo od screws . • Identif y and connect electrical wires.
5 2 • I n s t a l l i n g t h e C e i l i n g P l a t e 2-1. Drill two pil ot holes into the wood supp ort structur e thr ough the outermost holes in the outlet box. e pilot ho les should be 9/64” in diamete r . 2-2. Y our fan comes with two neoprene noise isolators (“Isolators”).

7 4 • S e c u r i n g F a n t o S e c o n d a r y S u p p o r t S y s t e m 4-1. Find the loop ed end of the braided cabl e and insert it through the ceiling plate and one of t he holes in the outlet box into the ce iling . 4-2. Access the support brace in the ceiling .

W ARNING: Failure to complete t his st ep could cause f an to fall. 6-2. Lift the fan and align the canopy screw holes with the mounting holes on the ceiling plate.
