1 Thank you for pur chasing the Mobile W iFi. This Mobile WiFi brings you a high speed wir eless network connection. This document will help you understand your Mob ile WiFi so you can start using it right away . Please read this document ca refully before using your Mobile W iFi.

3 Scenario 1: Accessing the Intern et Using a 3G or 2G Network The Mobile WiFi uses your operator's 3G or 2G network to access the Interne t. a) Wi-Fi or USB connec tion b) Ethernet port conn ect.
4 Scenario 2: Accessing the In ternet Using Ethernet (W AN) Connect the Mobile WiFi's network port to an Etherne t port using a network cable. Y ou can then access the Internet via Ethernet, such as a home ADSL, ho tel DHCP , or campus stati c IP broadband netwo rk.

7 Ethernet port WAN: C onnect to the r outer . LAN: Connect to t he computer . SSID and Wireless Network Encryption Key When a Wi-Fi device esta blishes a connection to the Mobile WiFi for t he first time, you may need to enter the def ault Service Set Identif ier (SSID) and wire less network encryption key .
8 Getting Started Installing a SIM Card Caution: Use a standard SIM card compati ble with the Mobile WiFi, otherwise you will damage your Mobile WiFi. Install the SIM card accordi ng to the illustration.
9 Installing the Ba ttery Install the battery according to the illustration. 2 1.
10 Charging the Battery If the battery has not been used for an extend ed period of time , recharge it before use. Method 1: Use the power adapter to c harge the device Note: Only use charge rs compatible with the Mobile WiFi and provided by a designated manufacturer .
11 Method 2: Charge the device th rough a computer connection Use the data cable p rovided with your device to co nnect the Mobile WiFi to the com puter . T u rning On the Mobile WiFi Press and hold the butto n until the indicator ligh ts up, indic ating tha t the Mobile WiFi is turned on .
12 Connecting to the Internet Using a 3G or 2G Network The Mobile WiFi's management pa rameters have been preset acco rding to you r opera tor's requirements. If data is transmi tted, the Mobile WiFi will auto matically connect to the Internet.
13 Using Ethernet (W AN) 1. Use the network cable to connect the Mo bile WiFi to the router . 2. Ensure t hat light s up in steady gree n and turns off . 3. Log in to the Mobile WiFi's web management page and configu re the parameters of the Ethernet conne ction.
14 Logging In to the Web Management Page 1. Make sure th e connecti on between the Mobile Wi Fi and the Wi-Fi dev ice or compu ter is working normally . 2. Open the browse r , and enter http ://192.168.8.1 in the address box. Note: Change this IP address if it conflicts w ith anoth er IP addre ss in the network .
15 Daily Use Battery Saving Mode If the Mobile WiFi ha s been inactive for some ti me, the Mobile WiFi enters the standby mode, in which the powe r indicator blinks slowly and the other indicators are off . Pressi ng the power button causes t he indicator to light up.
16 RESET Restoring to Factory Settings If you for get some config uration parame ters, you can restore the Mobile WiFi to its factory settings a nd then configure the Mobile WiFi again. Press and hold the RESET button until th e ind icators tu rn off .
17 Example 1: Connecting to a Comput er (for example, running the Windows XP operating system) through Wi-Fi 1. Ensure t hat is displayed in green. 2. Select Star t > Control Panel > Network Connections > Wireless Network Connection .
18 5. Wait a mome nt for the wirel ess network connecti on i con to appear in the sy stem tray in the lower right corner of the co mputer screen . The wi reless network connection i s then established.
19 Example 2: Connecting to a Game Console (for example, PSP) through Wi-Fi 1. On the PSP , tur n on the WLAN. 2. Choose Settings > Network Settings . 3. Select Infrastructu re Mode . 4. Select New Connection , and ent er the connect ion n ame. 5. Select Scan to search f or wireless networks.
20 8. Select Te s t C o n n e c t i o n to test whether the network co nnection is s uccessful. 9. Y ou can now open th e browser and access the network.
21 Example 3: Connecting to a Tablet Computer (for example, iPad) through Wi-Fi 1. To u c h Settings > WLAN to turn on WLAN. 2. The tablet computer automatically searches for wir eless connections and displays a list of acce ss points. 3. Select th e acces s point with the Mo bile WiFi's SSID.
22 Tips When the Mobile WiFi is in use for an extended period of time, it will be come warm and may overheat. Should this happen, the Mobile WiFi will a utomatically close the ne twork connection and turn off to protect it self from damage.
