5 Placing the Device Y our device can be plac ed horizontally , be plac ed upright with the use of a table stand, or hung on the wall. Place your dev ice on a surface wel l above the floor o r near a wind ow , so it can r eceive a st rong signal. Insert the latches on the table stand into the sl ots on the back of the device.
6 (Optional) Installing the External Antenna Connect the external antenna to the device's external antenna port. Ins tall the antenna securely by screwing it completely into the antenna jack. Note : z If you do not nee d to connect an external antenna, you c an skip this ste p.
7 (Optional) Connecting the Device to a Fixed -phone Radio signals interfere with the fixed-phone a nd affect the quality of the connection. Place the fixed-p hone 1 meter (3.28 feet) away from the device. Note: If you do not plan to use the voice service provided by the device, skip this step.
8 Connecting the Power Supply Attention : Use a power adapter that is compatible with the device or the device may be damag ed. Powering On/Off the Device z After connecting the power supply, the devi ce will power on automatica lly. z Press and ho ld until all indicators tu rn off to power off the device.
