20 Connecting the CPE Before you connec t the CPE, read W arning s and Precauti ons carefull y . Power off the CPE and remove all cabl es from the CPE in thunde rstorms. Do not touch the external antenna of the CPE, which may be heat ed in use. Placing the CPE Place the CPE in open environments.

22 T o connect devices to the CPE, do as f ollows: 1. Connect the CPE t o the po wer . Connect the AC outlet of the power adapte r to the POW ER port of the CPE. 2. Connect other d evices to the CPE. Connect LAN devices, such as comp uters or switch es , to the LAN ports of the CPE b y using cables.

24 A cce ssing the Web -Based Utility The W eb-Based Utility of t he CPE is a web browser- based configuration inte rface that allows easy device setup, config uration an d management th rough Internet browser . For e xample, to access the W eb-Based Utility of the CPE f rom a PC tha t runs on W indows XP and uses IE 7.
