Reduce o r enlarge cop ies (M1130 Series) 1. Load the document on to the scann er glass. 2. Press t he S etup butt on re peatedl y until the Red uce/ Enlarge light is on . 3. Press t he up arrow to in crease the copy size, or pr ess the down arrow t o de c rea se the cop y size.
Reduce or enlarge co pies (M1210 Series) 1. Load the document onto the scanner glass or int o the do cu ment feed er. 2. Press the Cop y Setting s butto n one ti me to o pen the Reduce/ Enla rge menu. 3. Use th e arrow b uttons to select the co rrect red uct ion or en lar gem en t opt io n, an d the n pres s the OK butto n.
Change the copy quality setting (M 1210 Series) 1. Press t he Copy S ettin gs button t wo times to o pen the Co py Qualit y menu . 2. Use the arro w buttons to sele ct a copy- quali ty op tion, a nd press t he OK button . NOTE: The sett ing ret urns to the def ault value aft er two mi nutes.
Copy a tw o-sided original to a two-sided document 1. Load the first pa ge of the do cument onto the scann er glass or in to the docume nt feeder (M12 10 Se ries ) . 2. Press the Star t Copy butto n. 3. Flip the origina l, and the n reload it onto th e scann er glass or in to the docume nt feeder .
Scan qu ality Over t ime, spec ks of debri s migh t collect on t he scanne r glass and whi te plastic ba cking, whic h can affect perf ormance. Use the f ollowin g proc edure to clean the scanner glass a nd whit e pl astic b acking. 1. Use the power swit ch to turn off the produ ct, and the n unplug the po wer cord fro m the electr ical socket.
Use the control panel t o create and e dit the fax phone book 1. On t he con trol pa nel, press t he Set up butt on. 2. Use th e arrow b uttons to select the Phone Book menu, an d then pr ess the OK button. 3. Use th e arrow b uttons to select the Add/ Edit menu , and t hen press the OK butto n.
Fax from the flatbed scanner 1. Pla ce the docum ent f ace-down on the scanne r glass. 2. Press t he S etup bu tton. 3. Select the Pho ne Book menu, and t hen pre ss th e OK button. 4. From th e list, sele ct the phone book entry. If no en try ex ist s, us e the k eyp ad on the contr ol pane l to di al t he nu mber.
Fax from the docume nt feeder 1. Inser t the origin als in to th e docu ment f eeder fac e-u p. NOTE: The documen t feed er ca pacity is up to 35 s he ets of 75 g/m 2 or 20 lb media.
