A system fail-safe timer, the ASR timer, starts when the Sy stem Management driver, also known as the Health Driver, is loaded.

Under normal use, battery life is 5 to 10 years. WARNING: The computer cont ains an internal lithium manganese dioxide, a vanadium pent oxide, or an alkaline battery pack.
