Setup 34 R ack warnings WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to the equipment, be sure that: • The leveling jacks a re exten ded to the flo or. • The full weight of the rac k rests on the leveling jacks. • The stabilizing feet are attached to the rack if it is a single - rack installation.
Setup 35 CAUTION: Do no t operate the server for long periods wi th the acc ess panel open o r removed. Operating the serve r in this manner results in improper airf low and improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage.

Setup 38 To install an operating system on the serv er with Intelligent Provisioning (local or remote): a. Connect the Ethernet cable, and then power on the server. b. Duri ng server POST, press t he F10 key. c. Complete the initial Preferences and Registration portion of Intelligent Provisioning (on page 88 ).

Verify that the p rocessor is fully seated in the processor retaining bracket by visually inspec ting the proc essor instal lation gu ides on either side of the processo r. Hardware options i nstallation 42 12. Open the heatsink retaining levers . CAUTION: The pi ns on the processo r socket are very fr agile. Any dama ge to them may require replacing the system board. CAUTION: Failure to completely open the processor locking lever prevents the process or from seating during installation, leading to hardware damage.

Standard ECC can correct single - bit memory errors and detect multibit memory errors. When multibit errors are d etected using Standard ECC, the error is signaled t o the server and cau ses the server to halt.

Do not use this controller with cache mod ules designed for other controller m odels, because the controller can malfunction and you can lose data.
