Use the pop-up menu to cut, copy , rename, and delete an item, also send an e-mail or send a file to another de vice. T o access a pop-up menu, tap and hold the stylus on the item on which you want to perform the action.

Note: The next time your HP iP A Q is powered of f, press one of the applications buttons to test this feature. Bac kup/Restore using iP A Q Bac kup iP A Q Backup saves your data in a backup f ile. Y ou may designate a file name and a location for the f ile to be sa v ed.

3–2 User’s Gu ide Usin g ActiveS ync Connec tin g to a C omp uter Connect your HP iP A Q to your computer using Microsoft Acti veSync and the HP iP A Q cradle, a wireless infrared connection, a W i-Fi connection or Bluetooth. For more information on using Activ eSync with Bluetooth, refer to Chapter 9, “Using Bluetooth.

3–6 User’s Gu ide Usin g ActiveS ync Using t he Seri al Infrared (IR) Conn ection As an alternati ve to using the HP iP A Q cradle or Exchange Acti veSync, you can synchronize your HP iP A Q and your computer using an infrared connection if you hav e an infrared port or an infrared USB adapter installed on your computer .

Y our mobile phone service provider may provide other useful services such as v oice mail.
5–2 User’s Gui de Using the Phone F eatur es Revised: 12/16/04 SIM Car d A SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is required to operate the phone features on your HP iP A Q. The SIM card is a plastic card embedded with a computer chip that stores and transacts data.

These pre-defined prof iles ha ve common settings for Alerts, Display Settings, Po wer , and Wireless. There are four button icons that allo w you to modify settings for Alert, Display , Po wer , and W ireless.
