3 For y our safety NEVER ● Allow children to pla y with or otherwise interfere with the dry er . NEVER ● Allow the air inlet at the bac k of the dr yer , the air outlet or vent hose to be obstructed. NEVER ● Direct the vent hose outlet to wards the air intake at the back of the machine.

7 Ho w to use y our dryer 1. Plug in, s witch on electricity . 2. Sor t your laundry (see section “Sor ting Y our Laundr y”) 3. Open the door . Check that the fluff filter is clean (see section How to remov e and clean the fluff filter).
8 Sor ting y our laundr y 1. Alwa ys separate laundr y into the correct fabric groups bef ore washing and drying. 2. See that all zips are closed, hooks and eyes are f astened and belt, strings etc. are tied loosely in bows, y ou will nor mally h ave done this f or each item before the w ashing stage.
9 W ash Care Labels Most of toda y’ s fabrics can be tumble dried in your Dryer with no trouble at all, b ut there are cer tain fabric finishes which should be dried awa y from direct heat. The majority of gar ments now hav e wash-care labels on them, giv ing full washing and drying instr uctions.
10 Items requiring special attention The dr ying requirements of blank ets and bedspreads will, of cou rse, vary tremendously according to size and weight. Some, howe ver ar e simply too big. if y ou hav e difficulty getting them into the Dr y er , the machine will hav e difficulty dr ying them proper ly .
11 The Contr ols T urn the Timer cloc kwise to select the required dr ying time. The timer controls the dr ying time f or both heat settings. All you ha ve to do is turn the Timer knob cloc kwise until it lines up with the required time. Never wind the Timer Control anti-c lockwise.
12 Please note that the Dr ying Times stated below and on appliance control panel are a GUIDE only and dr ying times are aff ected by : Items such as towelling retain a lot of w ater after spinning, also the suggested wash progr amme f or small items such as T -Shir ts may sometimes incor porate a low spin speed which has the same eff ect.
13 Ho w to remove and c lean the fluff filter Caring f or y our Dr yer T o remo ve the filter A very impor tant par t of your dryer is the fluff filter at the front edge of the drum. It’ s there to trap the par ticles of lint and fluff which are nor mally blo wn aw ay when clothes are dried on the washing-line .
14 If something goes wr ong First, don’t panic! There may be nothing wrong at all. Look for your problem belo w , then check the things we suggest. More often than not, this will give y ou the answer to y our problem, and y ou’ll be able to carr y on without having to telephone y our Service Office.
