FREEZER - MODELS RZA36G.1-RZA36P.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INST ALLA TION & USE GET TING ST ARTED: T o ensure that your freez er runs reliably and efficiently follo w these steps. Choose a location for your freezer , away from an y heat sources and allow adequate ventilation - 30mm (1 1 / 4 inch) gap above .
F or Y our Safety For y our safety , read the following advic e: The freezer c ooling system contains a small amount of gas which is en vironmentally friendly but flammable. T o a void any risk :- ● Install the freezer f ollowing the installation instructions and ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear of obstruction.
Installation Location & Air Cir culation Locate y our freezer away from sour ces of heat e.g. Cookers, R adiators , Direct Sunlight as extreme temperature will aff ec t its performance. Allow a minimum 30mm (1 1 / 4 inch) between the top of the freezer and the underside of the worktop .
Installation Lev elling: Lev el the freezer when it is in its final location by adjusting the front feet , until firm contact is made with the floor . This will stop rocking or vibration and keep the door aligned which helps the freezer run reliably and efficiently .
Installation Electrical Supply W ARNING: This appliance must be earthed. The freez er must be positioned so that the plug is accessible after installation. Fu se s Y our applianc e comes fitted with a plug and a 13A fuse. If you need to replace the fuse, only use those rated at 13A and AST A approved to BS1362.

Useful A dvice 9 Storing F ood in a Freezer ● F reeze and stor e either fresh food or long term c ommercially fr oz en foods. ● Generally speaking long term storage means up to 3 months but t his can vary , so always f ollow your supplier ’ s recommendations otherwise refer to the pictorial guide on the door liner (see below).

Defrosting 11 Defrosting Regular use of your appliance causes ice to gr adually build up on internal sur faces increasing the running costs of your applianc e. When the ice is between 3-5mm ( 1 / 4 inch) Hotpoint recommend ‘fully defrosting y our freezer ’ .

13 Y ou will need a selection of small hand tools , screwdrivers, spanners etc. to carry out this procedure .
