LARDER FRIDGE - MODELS RLA54, RLA56, RLA64, RLM54, RLM56, RLM64 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INST ALLA TION & USE GET TING ST ARTED: T o ensure that your fridge runs reliably and efficiently f ollow these steps. Choose a location for your fridge, away from an y heat sources and allow adequate ventilation - 30mm (1 1 / 4 inch) gap above .
F or Y our Safety For y our safety , r ead the following advice: The fridge cooling system con tains a small amount of gas which is environmentally friendly but flammable. T o a void any risk :- ● Install the fridge following the installation instructions and ensure that ventilation openings ar e k ept clear of obstruction.
Installation Location & Air Cir culation Locate y our fridge away from sources of heat e .g. cookers, radiators , direct sunlight as extreme temperatur e will affect its per f or mance . Allow a minimum 100mm (4 inches) between the top of the fridge and the ceiling or the underside of a wall cupboard .
Installation Lev elling: Lev el the fr idge when it is in its final location b y adjusting the front feet, until firm contact is made with the floor . This will stop rocking or vibration and keep the door aligned which helps the fridge run reliably and efficiently .
Installation Electrical Supply W ARNING: This appliance must be earthed. The fridge must be positioned so that the plug is accessible a fter installation. Fu se s Y our appliance comes fitted with a plug and a 13A fuse. If you need to replace the fuse, only use those rated a t 13A and AST A approv ed to BS1362.
6 CONTROLS C ontrols Con trolling the T empera ture of the F ridge Compartment The control wheel on the fr ont of the worktop adjusts the internal fridge compartment temperature. The int er nal temper ature should be 5˚C or colder although some sections, such as the salad bin, will be slightly w armer .

Making the best use of your Fridge Note: Always use the handle pro vided to open the fridge door . T o ensure that y our fridge operates as efficiently as possible : ● F ollow food packaging “best before/use by” instructions or your suppliers advice on a suitable maximum storage time .
Useful A dvice 9 USEFUL ADVICE Commodity and Bottle Racks Commodity racks can be repositioned in the door to suit y our st orage requirements. The lidded commodity rack is recommended f or the storage of dair y items , such as butter , margarine and cheese.
Useful A dvice 10 USEFUL ADVICE Salad Bins F or the storage of fruit, vegetables and salad items. When storing vegetables , remo ve unusable leaves and soil and lea ve lettuce , cabbage and cauliflower on the stem. It is advisable to clean the salad bin regularly , it can be removed by sliding it out from position.
Defrosting No manual defrosting required The fridge compartment will defrost automatically . During defros t periods water droplets form on the interior back wall of y our Larder Fridge a nd refreez e af terwards. W ARNING: Ensure that stored f ood does not come into contact with the int erior back wall of your Larder F ridge.
Cleaning 12 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Cleaning W ARNING: Switch off electrical supply and pull out mains plug before cle aning . Interior Note : W e recommend y ou use a straw to keep the defrost gutter d r ain hole clear of any blockage. DO NOT use sharp metal t o ols which c ould cause damage beyond repair .
Going A way If you are going awa y and don’t want to use your fridge , switch off the elec tricity supply and pull out the mains plug. Remove f ood and follow the cleaning instructions on the previous page. Note : L ea v e the do or ajar to pre vent an accumulation of odours.
Door Rev ersal 14 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Y ou will need a selec tion of small hand tools , screw drivers, spanners etc. to carry out this procedure . Our Ser vice Department can arrange for an Engineer to do the con version for you but a charge will be made.
Door Rev ersal 15 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Door Handle Reversal: 11. Remove the hole plugs from the right hand side of the door . 12. Unscrew the handle fixing screws and carefully remo ve the handle from the door . 13. T urn the handle vertically , top t o bottom and place against the right hand side.
