3 DISPOS A L OF OLD APPLIA NCES Before disposin g of an old app liance remove an y plugs and po wer leads to ensur e that the appl iance is inoperative. Remove the door, but leave the s helves in place to prevent children cl imbing inside. This s y m bol on the product indicates t hat it mus t not be discarded as gener al household waste.
4 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS Any electrica l work required to instal l this appliance s hould be carried o ut by a qualified e lectrician or com petent person. The m anufacturer declines any liability shou ld these safet y measures not be observed. Warning: T his appliance must be earthed.
5 HW40RM A This m odel i s d esigned for fr ee-standing installati on only. The top of the cabinet m ust not be covered an d it will get warm during normal operation. It is r ecomm ended that a m inimum clearance of 100m m is left at the sid es and rear of the appliance to allow air to c irculate.
6 Setting the T emperature Co ntrol • Set t he req uired tem perature by pr essing the SET button. The display will scr oll th rough the avail able tem perature settings in decrem ents of 1°C. W hen the button is pushed for the first time, the display will show the def ault temperature ( 12°C).
7 ON/OFF Sw itch To turn OFF the appliance, pres s the ON/OFF butto n. (Press and hold the button f or approxim ately 2 seconds) °C/°F Sw itch Press to select whether the tem perature is displa yed in degrees Cels ius or Fahrenheit . Light Sw itch Press to turn the interior light on /off.

9 HW40RM A The bottles on the top f ive shelves should be posit ioned into the slots in the she lves so that the necks of the bottles are adjacent t o each other. The bottles on t he bottom two shelves can be laid s ide by side in the s lots in the shel ves.
10 Cleaning Your W ine Cabin et • Turn off the power, unplug the a ppliance and rem ove all items including the shelves. • W ash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda t o a litre (2 pints) of water.
