8 II. Installation And Operating Instructions A. Checks Bef ore Installation IMPOR T ANT 1. Remov e shipping car ton, tape(s) and packing. If packing material is left in the icemaker , it will not work proper ly . 2. Ensure all components, f asteners and thumbscre ws are securely in place.
9 C. Location W ARNING This icemaker is not intended f or outdoor use. Nor mal operating ambient temperature should be within +45°F to +100°F (+7°C to +38°C); Nor mal operating w ater temperature should be within +45°F to +90°F (+7°C to +32°C).
10 E. W ater Suppl y and Drain Connections See Fig. 2 CA UTION T o pre vent damage to equipment, do not oper ate this icemak er when the water supply is OFF , or if the pressure is below 10 PSIG (0.7 bar). Do not run the icemaker until the proper w ater pressure is reached.

14 III. Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions IMPOR T ANT Ensure all components, f asteners and thumbscrews are securely in place after any maintenance or cleaning is done to the equipment. A. Cleaning W ARNING 1. Hoshizaki recommends cleaning this unit at least once a year .
15 19) Remov e the float switch from the w ater tank by pulling out on the right-side wall of the water tank slightly and sliding the float s witch upw ard. Be careful to av oid breakage when handling the par ts. See Fig. 6. 20) Remov e the detector from the water tank.
16 2. Sanitizing Procedure - Follo wing Cleaning Procedure 1) Dilute appro ximately 0.5 fl. oz. (15 ml or 1 tbs) of a 5.25% sodium h ypochlorite solution (chlorine bleach) with 1 gallon (3.8 l) of warm water . Using a chlor ine test strip or other method, confir m that y ou ha v e a concentration of about 200 ppm.
17 3. Air Filter (air-cooled model onl y) The plastic mesh air filter remov es dir t and dust from the air , and keeps the condenser from getting clogged. As the filter gets clogged, the icemaker’ s perf ormance will be reduced. Check the filter at least twice a month.
