4 W ARNING! T o reduce the risk of burns, fire, electrical shock or injury to persons: • Never use the treadmill before securing the safety tether clip to your clothing. • If you experience chest pains, nausea, dizziness, or shortness of breath, stop exercising immediately and consult your physician before continuing.
5 Before proceeding, find your treadmill’ s serial number and model name located to the left of the on/off power switch and power cord and enter it in the space provided below and be sure to read th.
6 TOOLS (Included) • 5mm Allen W rench/Phillips Screw Driver • 8mm Allen Wrench or 6mm Allen Wrench P ARTS • 1 Safety Key • 1 Console Assembly (located under treadmill deck) • 1 Power Cord .
7 1. Lift the running deck until lock latch is fully engauged. 2. Remove console assembly from treadmill car- ton and place out of the way . 3. Lower the treadmill running deck from the folded position.
8 FINISH 1. Connect the console cable. Carefully tuck wires in mast to avoid damage. NOTE: Do not pinch the wires Assembly Step 4 1. Place console assembly into its correct position. 2. Place Lock W asher (E) and bolt (D) into left upright support and tighten.

10 SAFETY KEY Y our treadmill will not start unless the safety key is placed in position. Attach the clip end securely to your clothing. This safety key is designed to cut the power to the treadmill if you should fall. NEVER USE THE TREADMILL WITHOUT SECURING THE SAFETY KEY CLIP TO YOUR CLOTHING.
11 TENSIONING THE RUNNING BEL T (NOTE: Running belt should NOT be moving during adjustments) If you can feel a slipping sensation when running on the treadmill, the running belt must be tightened. In most cases, the belt has stretched from use, causing the belt to slip.

16 RACE ( T 805 model only) Challenge the computer to a Race, customize pace speed and distance. Program is designed to add motivation to a workout by allowing you to complete against a selected pacer . 1. Once the RACE PROGRAM has been chosen, press SELECT.
17 USER 1 ( T 805 model only) Lets you create and reuse a perfect workout for you with specific speed, incline and time combination. The ultimate in personal programming. T ime-based goal. 1. Once the USER 1 program has been chosen, press SELECT. 2. Choose the desired TIME using the SPEED keys and press SELECT.
18 T roubleshooting & Maintenance Procedures COMMON PRODUCT QUESTIONS ARE THE SOUNDS MY TREADMILL MAKES NORMAL? All treadmills make a certain type of thumping noise due to the belt riding over the rollers, especially new treadmills. This noise will diminish over time, although may not totally go away .
19 TROUBLESHOOTING - TREADMILLS PROBLEM: The running belt does not stay centered during a workout. SOLUTION: V erify that the treadmill is on a level surface.
20 MAINTENANCE Cleanliness of your treadmill and its operation environment will keep maintenance problems and serv- ice calls to a minumum. For this reason, we recommend that the following preventive maintenance schedule be followed.
21 Conditioning Guidelines Always consult your physician before beginning an exercise program. HOW OFTEN? The American Heart Association recommends that you exercise at least 3 to 4 days per week to main- tain cardiovascular fitness. If you have other goals such as weight or fat loss, you will achieve your goal faster with more frequent exercise.
22 T ARGET ZONE HEART RA TE CHART Y our T arget Zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate. T arget Zone will vary for each individual, depending on age, current level of conditioning, and personal fitness goals.
23 DEVELOPING A FITNESS PROGRAM STRETCH FIRST Before using your product, it is best to take a few minutes doing a few gentle stretching exercises. Stretching prior to exercise will improve flexibility and reduce chances of exercise related injury . Ease into each of these stretches with a slow gentle motion.
24 ACHIEVING YOUR FITNESS GOALS An important step in developing a long term fitness program is to determine your goals. Is your primary goal for exercising on your treadmill to lose weight? Improve muscle? Burn stress? Prepare for the spring racing schedule? Knowing what your goals are will help you develop a more successful exercise program.
