STRETCH FIRST Before using y our Horizon Fitness product, it is best to take a fe w minutes doing a fe w gentle stretch- ing e xercises . Stretc hing prior to e xercise will impr ov e fle xibility and reduce c hances of e xercise related injury . Ease into eac h of these stretc hes with a slo w gentle motion.
MO VING Y our Horizon Fitness upright bik e has a pair of transport wheels built into the front of the frame. T o move , fir mly grasp the v ertical seat post and one of the handlebars. Carefully lift and r oll. CA UTION! Our upright bikes are w ell built and heavy , w eighing up to 150lbs.
KNOW YOUR UPRIGHT BIKE WHA T KIND OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED? W e use sealed bearings thr oughout our bikes so lubrication is not needed. The most important main- tenance step is to simply wipe y our perspiration off the bike after eac h use. HO W DO I CLEAN MY HORIZON FITNESS UPRIGHT BIKE? Clean with soap and w ater cleaners only .
QUICK ST ART UP Simply begin e xercising . The console will automatically begin counting up and tracking y our infor- mation. RESET Press and hold the select button on the console. Alw ays consult your physician before beginning an ex ercise pr ogram.
ARE THE SOUNDS MY UPRIGHT BIKE MAKES NORMAL? Our upright bikes are some of the quietest available because the y use belt drives and friction free magnetic resistance.
PROBLEM: Erratic or Inconsistent R eadout. SOLUTION: This is often caused b y dry electrodes or a loose c hest strap . Moisture on the rubber electrodes is required f or pr oper operation. T ry a more gener ous coating of w ater on the electr odes and tightening the c hest strap .

T ARGET HEART RA TE ZONE Y our ‘T arget Heart R ate Zone’ is a percentage of your maximum hear t rate . T arget Zones will vary for each individual, depending on age , current lev el of conditioning, and personal fitness goals .
