3 Gr ounding Instructions This appliance must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, gr ounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to r educe the risk of electric shock. 7 2-2 Extension cor d instructions Use at least a 16 gauge, grounding type, SVT or SJT type extension cord. The extension cor d must employ a 3-prong gr ounding type plug and a 3-pole receptacle that accepts the machine plug.
