. 0 Push plug on power nozzle cord l completely into cord receptacle underneath hand grip. Always disconnect cleaner from elec- trical outlet before attaching or removing power nozzle plug. . El For cleaners with plastic wands, squeeze tabs on separate cord clip together while pressing cord into small slot (E).
Check bag indicator (Available some models) q There are three conditions that will cause the indicator to become completely red: 1. The bag is full; change bag. 2. Very fine materials (such as powder) have been picked up, clogging the bag pores; change bag, even if it is not full.
q After using models without cord reel, wrap the cord around the ON- OFF pedal (A), cord hook (8) and lip (D) on rear of cleaner. To save space, the cleaner may be stored on its end. Re-attaching bag lid q : The bag lid and hinges are designed with a “break-away” fea- ture. If the lid is pushed open too far, it will come off. It can be easily re- attached by aligning the hinges with the appropriate slots in the cleaner, as shown.
q Return nozzle to original position: lift off nozzle cover. If belt is not broken, pull it off the motor pulley (A). Lift up end of agitator. Remove old belt from agitator and replace with new belt (B). Lettering on belt must be visible. q Stretch belt back and attach to l motor pulley (A).
‘” Lubrication The motor is equipped with bearings, which have been lubricated for the life of the motor. The addition of lubricant could cause damage.
