2-13 2-14 Fill container (16 oz.) with HOOVER Carpet/Upholstery Detergent or HOOVER Hard Floor Cleaning Solution. Do not use Hard Floor Cleaning Solution on carpet or upholstery . Do not use any type of wax with your ‘SteamV ac’ deep cleaner . T o assure proper r esults, use only HOOVER detergent.
9 2-21 2-22 Position bottom of tank onto cleaner and pivot tank to snap it into place. Recover y tank (lower tank) The recovery tank holds the dirty solu- tion that is picked up from the surface being cleaned. When the recovery tank is full, the auto- matic shut-off will engage, suction will stop (see page 7), and the tank must be emptied.
10 Befor e you begin cleaning a. V acuum thoroughly - For carpet, use a HOOVER vacuum cleaner with an agitator for best results. V acuum uphol- stery with a vacuum cleaner with clean- ing tool attachments. Use a crevice tool to reach into tufts and folds.
Carpet Cleaning Slide nozzle completely onto cleaner . Press down on nozzle to secur e it. Replace recovery tank (Figs. 2-21 and 2-22). The nozzle must be in the proper position in order for the recovery tank to go on properly . Raise cleaner to upright position and replace clean water tank (Figs.
