Automatic shut of f When the recovery tank (lower tank) is full the automatic shutoff mechanism will shut off the cleaner suction (suction will be noticeably reduced). At that time, the yellow float disk will rise to the top of the recovery tank lid (B).

Befor e you begin cleaning a. V acuum thoroughly - For carpet, use a HOOVER vacuum cleaner with an agitator for best results. V acuum uphol- stery with a vacuum cleaner with clean- ing tool attachments. Use a crevice tool to reach into tufts and folds.
11 3-1 After cleaning a. Allow carpet or upholstery to dr y . T o help prevent matting and r esoiling the carpet, keep children and pets away from surface until it is completely dry . If it is necessary to walk on damp car- pet, place towels or white cloths on the traffic ar eas.
Cleaning hard floors 9. Continue to squeeze trigger and slowly pull cleaner back toward you (second wet stroke). The cleaner rinses the carpet on the backward pass. Note: T o assure proper rinsing, it is impor- tant to keep the cleaner on the same path backward as forward.
3-12 3-11 5. Rotate the squeegee back until secure, making sure the outside edges ar e pushed up tight against the nozzle. T o replace nozzle, line up tabs (D) on nozzle with holes (E) in cleaner . Slide tabs into holes. Slide nozzle completely onto cleaner .
3-19 3-20 Drain solution tube by placing round end in sink and raising nozzle above your head. Press the trigger . Drain suction hose by turning cleaner ON and holding nozzle up for several minutes. Do not press trigger . Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet.
3-22 A B 11. Lift tool, and position it against riser . Pull tool slowly over carpet without pressing trigger (dry stroke). 12. Overlap strokes by 1/2 inch to help prevent str eaking. It is best to alternate wet and dr y strokes as described above. End with more dry strokes to aid in faster drying of carpet.
