Select CVBS (SVHS) for a spot monitor or VGA for an RGB monitor. Make sure you set the CV BS (SVHS) or VG A selector switch before turning on the DVR .

Configuration Rev 3.03 18 Document 900.0315 02/07 Many of the buttons have multiple functions. Table 3-1 describes each button and control. Take a few minutes to review the de scriptions. You will use these to ini tially set up your DVR and for daily operations.
Configuration Rev 3.03 19 Document 900.0315 02/07 PTZ buttons • Opens a Pan/Tilt/Zoom screen that allows you to control properly configured PTZ cameras. • In PTZ mode, pressing PTZ enters the Digital Zoom mode. Press PT Z again in Digital Zoom mode to return to Live Monitoring mode.

Configuration Rev 3.03 35 Document 900.0315 02/07 1. To hide the video associated with a camera number , highlight the camera Setup heading and then press . You can select the Setup field for one specific camera or select the Setup heading to change the settings for all four cameras at once.

You can set up motion detection zones by selecting or clearing blocks. Note You can activate or deactivate four cells at a time using the button.

In the virtual keyboard, enter the character(s) that the device uses to indicate the end of a line. Control characters can be created using ^ and a capital letter (for example, ^J for NL [New Line], ^M for CR [Carriage Return]).

Your DVR offers a variety of flexible recording modes: • You can set it up to record all the time or to only record events.

The copi ed clip images can be viewed on computers running Microsoft Windows 98 , ME, 2000 or XP.

Configuration Rev 3.03 76 Document 900.0315 02/07 Clear All Data Highlighting and selecting Clear All Data ( MENU ➤ Config ➤ Clear All Data ) brings up a screen asking you if you really want to clear all data and to confirm it with a password. Caution Selecting Clear All Data will erase all recorded video.

Press ME NU in PTZ mode to display the PTZ Mode screen. Set the feature you wish to control by selecting it from the menu.
