3 69-1496 Settings Setting F AN and SYSTEM Switches F an and system settings are controlled by using F AN and SYSTEM switches located on the bottom of the thermostat case. First set the F AN switch: A uto: Normal setting for most homes. In cooling, the fan goes off and on with the cooling equipment.
4 69-1496 Then set the SYSTEM switch: Cool: Nor mal setting f or months when y our home needs cooling (air conditioning). Digital display shows a snowflak e when cooling is on. Off: Both heating and cooling are off . Heat: Nor mal setting f or months when y our home needs heating.
5 69-1496 Displaying T emperature Setting NO TE: Y our temperature setting can be set an ywhere from 40 ° to 99 ° F (5 ° to 37 ° C). The temperature setting and the room temperature are shown separ ately on the digital display .
