4 Precautions Remote Control Range Sev eral f actors affect and reduce remote control range. Among these are: 1. Pro ximity to buildings and automobiles. 2. Pro ximity to high power transmitters (tele vision, radio , cellular, HAM r adio , etc.). 3. When the battery becomes weak, the remote control range becomes short.
5 Precautions Battery P ower Use the remote control transmitter only when necessary . Every time a button is pressed, the remote control is consuming batter y po wer . If batter y is low on pow er , the transmitting r ange of the remote control will be aff ected.
6 LOCK Button When used alone, this button loc ks the doors and the tailgate, and flashes the par king lights once. Note: If the lock button is pressed f or a second time (within 5 seconds of the first push) the hor n will beep once and par king lights will flash once to confir m the doors and the tailgate are lock ed.
