P age 7 FEA TURES KNOW YOUR BLOWER See Figure 1. Before attempting to use this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. BLOWER TUBE AND NOZZLE The blower tubes can be assembled and installed on the blower using no tools.
P age 8 ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBES See Figure 2. n Screw the nozzle onto the upper blower tube and tighten securely . Check tightness after initial run and r etighten if needed. n Pla ce clam p ar oun d the neck of the blo wer hou sing outl et. Do not tighten the wing nut yet.
P age 9 OPERA TION FILLING THE T ANK WARNING: Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive. A fir e or explosion from gasoline will burn you and others. Always stop the engine before filling the fuel tank. Never add fuel to a machine with a running or hot engine.
P age 10 OPERA TION ST ARTING AND STOPPING See Figures 7 - 8. Starting the product differs if the engine is cold or warm. Refer to the label on the air filter base for choke positions A , B , and C . TO ST ART A COLD ENGINE: n Place the blower on a flat, bare surface.
P age 11 n Operate blower at the lowest possible thr ottle speed to do the job. � n Check the equipment before operation, especially the muffler , air intakes, and air filters. � n Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. � n In dusty conditi ons, slightl y dampen surface s when water is available.
P age 12 MAINTENANCE Fig. 12 OPERA TION n Hold the engine higher than the inlet end of the vacuum tube. � n Always point vacuum tube downhill when working on a hillside. � n T o avoid injury to the operator or unit, do not pick up rocks, br oken glass, bottles, or other similar objects.
P age 13 MAINTENANCE SP ARK ARRESTOR The muffler is equipped with a spark arrestor screen inside muffler body . After extended use the scr een can become dirty and may need to have the muffler replaced by an authorized servicing dealer . WARNING: T o avoid a fire hazard, never run the blower without the spark arrestor in place.
