P age 10 NOTE: Y ou may need to slightly r otate pole fr om side to side until it locks into place. Lower the threaded collar onto the threaded base and rotate clockwise to secur e. WARNING: Failure to lock telescoping pole as directed above could result in serious injury or death.
P age 11 ST ARTING AND STOPPING See Figure 4. Connect the hedge trimmer to power supply . Attach the outlet end of an extension cord to the plug on the rear of the hedge trimmer. Route extension cord through cor d retainer as shown. NOTE: Use only an approved outdoor extension cord as described previously in this manual.
P age 12 ADJUSTING TELESCOPING POLE See Figure 6. Rotate the threaded collar counterclockwise to loosen. Push poles towards each other to shorten the pole or pull away from each other to lengthen the pole. NOTE: Extend the telescoping pole only to the length required to reach the hedges being trimmed.
P age 13 If blades do become jammed, stop the motor , allow the blades to stop, and disconnect the plug fr om the power source befor e attempting to remove the obstruction. If desired, you can use a string to help cut your hedge level.
