ELECTRICAL CONNE CTIONS (Cord Co nnected Mixer s) WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL CORD ON THIS MACHINE IS EQUIPPED WITH A THREE- PRONGED GROUNDING PLUG WHICH MUST BE CONNECTED TO A PROPERLY GROUNDED RECEPTACLE. IF THE RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN.

Recipe Timer (Optional) Models HL120/HL200 (With Three Mix Sp eeds Plus Stir Sp eed) Fig. 15 The SmartPlus2 ™ recipe timer has two operating modes, Standard (ST D) and RECIPE. Standard Mode Operates exactl y as the standard controls utilizing continuous and timed mi xing.
BOWL PLACEMENT The bowl must be insta lled before the agitator is installed. To install the bowl, lower the bowl support and po sit ion bowl so the alig nment pins on the left side of the bowl support fit in the holes in the bowl tab . (Fig. 3) Place the slotted tab on bo wl into the lower p art of the pin.
PREPARE FOR MIXING 1. Place the mixing bowl on the b owl support. 2. Pour ingredien ts into the bowl. 9 3. Swing the b owl back to the mix position. 4. Place the a gitator inside the bowl, and th en attach it to the agitator shaft (F ig. 6). 5. Lift bowl support.
Using the Count-Do wn Mode (Timed Mixi ng) 1. Turn the SPEED dial to s elect a mix sp eed. a. If the count-up mode was used for the previous batc h, the desired time needs t o be entered. b. If the count-down mode was use d for the previ ous batch, the pre vious time will be d i s p l a y e d .
RECIPE TIMER OPERATION Recipe Timer Notes • If pause is selected as a mix sp eed, the mi xer START button mus t be presse d to advance to the ne xt recipe step a fter the pause ti me has expired. • If pause has been sel ected, the bowl guard can be o pened and the ti me will continue to count down.
View Recipe When the mi xer is in RECIPE mode, you can vie w the step setti ngs of any recipe. 1. Press the SELECT/SAV E button. A. Display will alternate between spe ed and time. B. The LED of the step being d isplayed will fl ash. 2. Use the arrow buttons to view th e next step.
13 NOTES: • If a value has been assigned for a step number, that LED will be lit. • The LED for the selected step will blink. • If the default value is still assigned to a step, the LED will not be lit. • When programming, the Recipe and Time Selectors are disabled.
UNLOADING 1 . Open the bowl guard wir e cage assembly. 2 . Lower bowl support. 3 . Remove the agitator from the agitator shaft. 4. Slightly lift the bowl off the pin (right side), pull bowl t o the front and remove from the bowl support (left side).
Remove and Clea n Bowl Guard Wire C age (Fig. 11) 1. Rotate wire cage to your left until the three ca rriers align with the carrier escape slots in the circular ridge of the planet ary drip cup. 2. Lift the wire cage straight up so the carr iers escape from the slots on the drip cup.

T o reach these areas, fully lower the bowl su pport and remove the apro n, which is secured by slott ed screws.
ADJUSTMENTS Agitator Clearance The agitator clea rance shou ld be checked p eri odically. The agit ator must not to uch the bowl and the maximum clearan ce between the bottom of th e bowl and the B flat bea ter is 1/8" ( 3 mm); the maximum clearance between the b ottom of the bowl and the ED do ugh arm is 5/16” (8 mm).
