Most accidents that result from compressor operation and maintenance are caused by the failure to observe basic safety rules or precautions.

— 5 — English 16. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS AND AIR LEAK. Before further use of the compressor, a guard or other part is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
— 6 — English 33. THE SAFETY VALVE MUST WORK PROPERLY. Risk of bursting. Before starting the compressor pull the ring on the safety valve to make sure the valve moves freely. If the safety valve does not work properly, over-pressurization may occur, causing air tank rupture or an explosion.
— 7 — English GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This compressor should be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electric shock. The compressor is equipped with a three-conductor cord and three-prong grounding type plug to fit the proper grounding type receptacle.

— 11 — English 5. Dipstick insertion and oil level check Use a screwdriver or similar tool to remove the plastic cap on the lower part of the cylinder (Fig. 3). If the capacity of the power supply is insufficient, increase the power supply capacity to remove the cause of a flow of excessive current (over-current).

— 29 — Espa ñ ol 29. DRENE EL TANQUE DE DEP Ó SITO. Riesgo de explosi ó n. El agua se condensa dentro del tanque de aire. Si no se la drena, lo corroer á debilitando sus paredes, poniendo en riesgo la ruptura del tanque de aire. Drene diariamente el dep ó sito despu é s de 4 horas de uso.

— 36 — Espa ñ ol 4. Acerca del protector t é rmico El protector t é rmico opera para detener el motor cuando se detecta un problema, como por ejemplo, sobrecarga del motor, etc. Si es preciso parar el motor durante la operaci ó n, proceda de la siguiente manera.
— 37 — Espa ñ ol (2) Compruebe el nivel del aceite del elemento de la bomba cada 50 horas de utilizaci ó n o una vez a la semana. (3) Cambie el aceite cada 300 horas de funcionamiento o cada 6 meses.
