3 BEFORE YOU BEGIN Congratulations for selecting the revolutionary HealthRider ¨ E730 elliptical crosstrainer . The HealthRider ¨ E730 is an incredibly smooth exerciser that moves your feet in a natural elliptical path, mini- mizing the impact on your knees and ankles.
4 ASSEMBL Y Assembly requires two people. Place all parts of the elliptical crosstrainer in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
5 3 89 7 14 Motor Screw 89 85 85 76 76 3. Slide an M8 Split W asher (85) and an M8 Washer (89) onto an M8 x 19mm Button Screw (76). Next, thread the Button Screw into one end of the Incline Motor Axle (14). With the help of a second person, raise the Incline Frame (7).
6 6 97 97 Ground Wire Console Wires 6. Connect the Long Extension Wire (100) to the corre- sponding wire on the Console (97). Next, connect the two Console Plate Wires (106) to the two corresponding wires on the Console (97). Note: Either Console Plate Wire can be attached to either wire on the Console.
7 Plastic Posts Opening 9. With the help of another person, loosely attach the right side of the Handlebar (13) to the Upright (3) with two Handlebar Bolts (92), two Curved W ashers (74), two Spacers (93), two M10 Flat W ashers (94), and two M10 Nylon Locknuts (55).
8 12. Make sure that all parts of the elliptical crosstrainer are properly tightened. Note: There may be some hardware left over after assembly is completed. T o protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the elliptical crosstrainer . 1 1.
9 HOW T O USE THE ELLIPTICAL CROSSTRAINER PLUGGING IN THE POWER CORD Plug the power cord into a surge protector (not included), and plug the surge protec- tor into a 120-volt out- let. The displays and various indicators on the console will light and a tone will sound.
10 Note: If there is a thin sheet of clear plastic on the face of the console, remove it. A. Incline DisplayÑThis display shows the incline level of the elliptical crosstrainer . B. Program ProfilesÑThese profiles show how the resistance and incline of the elliptical crosstrainer will change during personal trainer programs.
11 T urn on the power Make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in (see page 9). T o turn on the power , press the ST ART/P AUSE button or simply begin exercising. The console will sound a tone and various dis- plays and indicators will light.

13 HOW TO CONNECT YOUR CD PLA YER TO THE ELLIPTICAL CROSSTRAINER T o use iFIT .com CDÕs (available separately), the ellipti- cal crosstrainer must be connected to your portable CD player , portable stereo, home stereo, or computer with CD player . Refer to this page and page 14 for connecting instructions.
14 HOW TO CONNECT YOUR HOME STEREO Note: If your stereo has an unused LINE OUT jack, see instruction A below . If the LINE OUT jack is being used, see instruction B. A. Plug one end of the audio cable into the jack beneath the console of the elliptical crosstrainer .

16 Inspect and tighten all parts of the elliptical crosstrainer regularly . Replace any worn parts immediately . For smooth operation of the elliptical crosstrainer , the incline frame should be kept clean. Using a soft cloth and mild detergent, clean dust and other residue from the incline frame where the wheels make contact with it.
