Congratulations on the purchase of your new Hawking Net- Vision TM HNC210 Wired 10/100Mbps Network Camera. The HNC210 is a high perform ance standalone camera system that provides an ideal solu tion for remote mo nitoring, surv eillance, or sending l ive vide o over the I nternet.

1 1 Locate the net work cable connector (RJ-45 port) on the camera’s bottom panel. Conn ect an Ethernet cable to the port. Connect the ot her end of the cable to the network.
2 2 Locate the power input connector on the camera’s bottom panel, and att ach the external power supply. Then, plug the adapter into an ava ilable outlet. Ple ase check to see that the ora nge “Ready” LED lo cated next to the lens of the camera is lit t o ensure that the cam era is powered on.
1 Insert the Hawkin g Net-Vision TM HNC210 Installat ion & Utilities CD into your CD-ROM Drive. When the main page loads, click on Quick Setup Wizard .
2 2 The Setup Wizard will search fo r similar cameras available on your local area network. A “similar” cam era will have the same code of four letters at t he beginning of its serial number. This code is “HEMT” and can be found on either the ri ght or left panel of the box, or on the label on the bott om of the cam era.
Each available camera will be displayed in the camera list with its MAC ad dress, current default IP address, an d model number. (NOTE: The Setup Wizar d may display an IP address for the camera that is already consistent wit h your network [LAN] settings, rather than the default on e.
3 Next, the login username and password screen will appear. Please type in the de fault logi n and password a nd then press “ OK ”. The default values are: Login: admin Password: 12 34 If you have al ready set a usernam e and password , enter them and press “ OK ”.
4 The Setup Wizard will try to determine your network settings. If a DHCP server is prese nt on your net work, the Wizard will obtain your network settings and auto matically configure you r network camera to oper ate on your LAN by returning network settings that are con sistent with your network.

5 To protect your camera fro m unauthorized access and use, you will need to chang e the Admin Password , which is “1234” by default . The password can have a ma ximum of four characters . Confirm the new pass word by typing i t again identically in the “R econfirm” field.
6 The following status page will appear. It will display a summary of t he changes y ou have m ade to the netwo rk camera’s settings. If all the settings are correct, click Next to continue.
7 The setup process has now been completed. Please brief ly revie w the te xt on t he page before clicki ng on Reboot . After clicking Reboot , the Setup Wizard will close.
