3 Introduction The Hawking H-UC232S USB Serial Converter operates as a bridge between the USB and standard RS232 Serial port. The cable can ea sily be connected to a PC or USB Hub. Moreover , this product can connect RS-232 devi ces or any serial devices with DB 9 P connectors, including PDA, sc anner , printer and modem.

5 2. Select “Search r emovable media ( floppy , CD-ROM…), an d click “Next” 3. Click “Continue Anyway” 4. The W indows driver file sear ches for the device.
6 5. Click “Browse” and s elect “CD-ROM drive” as your tar get drives and click ”OK. ” 6. W indows has finished installing the software; click “Finish” to com plete installing driver .

8 2. Select “Search f or the best driver for your device [Recommended],” and press ”Next”. 3. Click “Browse” an d select “CD-ROM dr ive” as your tar get drives and c lick ”Next”.
9 4. The W indows driver file will s earch for the device. Press “Next” . 5. W indows has finished installing the software; click “Finish” to com plete installing driver .
10 6. In “System Properties,” the Device Manager will disp lay “USB to Serial Port (COM3)” and “Prolific USB-to Serial Comm Port.” Once t his is displayed, instal l ation is complete. W indows 2000 Click “Next” to st art the installa tion.
11 Select “Search fo r the best driver for your devic e” and click “Next.” Select “CD-ROM drives” and click “Nex t” to continue. Click “Next” to install the driver for the device.
12 Click “Fin ish” to complete th e installation. The statement “ USB-to-Seri al Port (COM3)” sh ould appear in your “Device Manager .”.
