1 Chapter 1 General Information The CTFLP Se ries provides a n uninterru ptible powe r source for broadband cabl e operations. T he enclosure is designed for mounting on either a pol e or wall.

3 Chapter 2 Installation and Maintenance Only trained service personnel should install and maintain th e Power Supply. Prior to installing the Power Supply utility li ne voltage must be routed to the enclosure.
4 CTFLP Enclosure Installation Loosen (do not remove), t he four .25” (. 63 cm) nut s on the bracket assembly. Wall Mount Units: Select fasteners that will accommodate the wei ght of the unit including the power sup ply. Wiring 1. Attach conduit to th e 1/2 “ hole on the bottom of the unit an d wire the input line.

Refer t o the diagram below for wiri ng detail s. • Connect the black and wh ite wires from the incoming utility line. • Route the power feed COAX to the bottom of the enclosure and a ttach t o the COAX cable adapter using a pin connector. • Attach the stinger lug to th e pin connector center pin.
6 Installing the FLM Power Supply Ensure the CTFLP module circuit breaker is OFF. 1. Unlock and open the fron t enclosure door. To remove the fr ont door from the enclosure, squeeze the ed ges of the enclosure together. Th is will allow the pins at the top of the door to slip out of the side enclosure pa nels.

8 Chapter 3 Operation Initial Startup and Performance Verification 1. Switch the utility circuit breaker ON. 2. Verify that the FLM is switched ON. 3. Measure the voltage at the C oax connector ensuring that 60 VAC or 90VAC are present depending on the power s upply install ed.

11 • Replace the quick disconnects on the indicator lam p socket. • Reconnect the utility wires and the sting er lug. • Close the front door of the enclosure. • Reinstall the F LM. Ensure the m odule is seated p roperly. R efer to Installing the FLM in this manual.
12 Chapter 5 Service, Con tact and Warranty Information Service APC makes every effort to ensure parts and equipment arrive in working condition. Occasionally, it may be necessary to return parts or equi pment that are not i n working condition. If the UPS requires service do not return it to the dealer.
13 Limited Warranty American Power Conversion (APC) warrants its products to be fr ee from defects in mater ials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Its obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at its own sole option, any such defective products.
