4 Installation Installing outside an enclosure T o install the Environm ental Mon ito ring Unit outside an enclosure, place it on a flat surface in a protected area with adequate air flow an d minimal dust. Do not operate the unit where temperature and h umidity are outside the limits specified on page 19.

Attach the assembly tightly to the enclosure using four mountin g screws an d four pl astic cup washers ( provided with the enclosure). Connecting th e pr obe(s) 1. 7 Contact Sensors Selecting sensors T o monitor circuits that have no voltage potential of their own, you can us e any normally open ( NO ) or no rmally closed ( NC ) dry contact sens ors.

16 T roubleshooting Maintenance The Environmental Moni toring Unit requires periodic maintenance. • T o remove any visible build up of dust from t he temperature and humidity pro be, gently brush or vacuum t he pr obe. D o n ot bl o w any type of compress ed gas into the probe.
