2 Introduction P o w e rV iew is a co mp a ct c o ntrol panel and display which pr o vides ful l control, monitoring and configuration of the connected UPS.
3 Contr ols and Indicators Indicators Figure 2 Front Panel Indicators LOAD ON : Indicates that the load connected to the UPS is receiving power (On-line, On-Battery or Bypass). ON BA TT : Indicates that power to the attached load is being sup- plie d b y the UPS’s batteries (unavailable while in By pass).

5 General Navigation Note: Throughout this manual the four navigation keys will be repre- sented as: Esc, , , and Enter ( ). Specific menus are refer- enced in the form Display:Password where Display refers to a menu item in the top-level menu and Password refers to a sub- menu of Display .

10 n Shutdown – these par amet e rs a ff e ct signaling v ia the UPS’ s inter - face port. They are generally used in the context of controlling an orderly shutdown of an attached server in the event of a power failure or a user initiated Graceful Reboot or Graceful Off.

12 Logging P o w e rV iew keeps a log of up to 64 of the most re c ent e v ents. The user can clear the log and ‘ filter’ ce rtain e v e nt typ es fro m being lo gged. n View Log – the points to an event; the date, time and number of that event are displayed on the top line.
13 PowerView Information and Configuration n Set current date and time (used for log entries) n P asswor d – when a non-null password is co nfigur e d, all co ntrol and c o nfigurat io n functi ons p ro vide d by P owe rV ie w will r eq uir e the user to enter the password.
14 n Configuration of default screen – After selecting this option, the screen will appear as the default data screen with the exception of a cursor in the upper left co r ner . The and keys wil l select the line that you wish to change. Pressing Enter ( )changes the cursor to and the and keys will now select the contents of that line.
15 Replacing the Language EPROM Po w e rV iew can be configure d to display text in a language other than the default English by r e placing the unit ’s language EPR OM with one of the alternate language EPROMs included with the unit. Follow these steps to replace the unit’ s language EPR OM: Note: The device being replaced is static sensitive.
